Nike Crusaders Cup Tournament was no Disappointment

For these boys, winning is fun and they won't stop until the scoreboard starts to change in their favor, even if it takes them a season to do it. That's what makes these boys winners. They will win but for now, as long as they are willing to leave it all out on the field, I'm willing to watch and support the boys. This weekend, they lost to some very experienced club teams and fell short in all three games. In fact, they never scored a goal but they never quit---they fought to the final whistle.
Huntington Beach Sand Tournament
FCM's B99 Blue Team make their debut on the sand in Huntington Beach. The first game they were what I would call "shell shocked'. I say that with a smile because you could tell these teams knew how to play on sand. This was our first game as a team and we were playing on sand at the beach. They lost 5-0 in the first game and that team went on to place first in the tournament. With just one game under their belt, FCM's B99 Blue played another experienced team and lost 4-1 but played very aggressively. I was impressed with our boys' drive to win in the last game. They came out fighting and tied 2-2. When we got to the beach, I thought, "What a way to start the season!" We all had a blast, our boys and our new extended soccer family. Our boys will have memories that will last a lifetime.
